Fine Water Mist – Effective, Safe, Environmentally Friendly

Current specialized fire suppression systems are expensive and often utilize chemicals that are known to be harmful to people and the environment. Fine Water Mist technology developed by ADA solves these issues.

ADA’s Technology

ADA’s Fine Water Mist fire suppression technology was developed as a light weight, inexpensive and highly effective method of extinguishing fires.  The patented technology employs advanced designs to generate water droplets in the size found to be most effective for fire suppression and deliver them to the fire.

Fine Water Mist does not cause water damage to structures or electronics and, because it uses only inert chemicals (water and inert gas), the technology does not pose a health or environmental hazard like commonly used Halon and clean agent suppressants.

Applications

ADA’s Fine Water Mist fire suppression technology is being developed as a local application for fire protection. Systems are designed to direct mist at a specific hazard or throughout a protected volume, and can be configured as modules to offer flexible, cost-effective fire suppression for spaces of almost any size, shape or fire hazard category. Both hand-held devices and automated systems are under development to protect a wide range of occupied and unoccupied spaces.

Anticipated applications include protecting spacecraft, museums, military vehicles, flammable-liquid storage lockers, passenger ships, civil aircraft, machinery spaces, turbine enclosures, recreational boats, offshore drilling rigs, historical sites, hotels, restaurants, computer rooms and electronic equipment areas, subway systems and tunnels, residential homes and health care facilities.
