ADA was founded in 1985, and has grown to become one of Colorado’s best technology companies. The company holds 30+ patents for its innovative technologies and has many more pending.

Advanced Distributed Sensor Systems, Inc. (ADSS)
In October 2008, ADA spun-off its distributed sensor division to form Advanced Distributed Sensor Systems, Inc. ADSS develops and markets advanced situational awareness sensor products and communications systems for defense, homeland security, force protection and commercial applications. ADSS is a healthy and growing business with millions of dollars in product sales. In 2010, ADSS was named a "Colorado Company to Watch" - one of 50 Colorado companies selected from 450 nominees.
Novinda Corp. (formerly Amended Silicates, Inc.)
Novinda was established in 2003 as a joint venture between ADA and CH2M HILL. The company is focused on piloting, improving and marketing a non-carbon sorbent to control mercury emissions from coal-fired power plants. In June 2009, the company received venture financing of several million dollars to support its operations and future growth. Later that year, the company name was changed from Amended Silicates, Inc. to Novinda Corp.
